Stretch Ceiling (Large-Format Print)

A printed stretch ceiling is a membrane tensioned across a room's ceiling and given a large-format image motif – such as a sky, a landscape or a decorative pattern. It is among the most demanding applications of large-format printing.
Because stretch ceilings often occupy large areas and are viewed from a comparatively short distance, high-resolution source images are decisive: too low a resolution would be visible on the tensioned surface. Gigapixel images are particularly suitable here, as they retain detail across the entire ceiling.
Coordinated colour management and careful pre-press are also important, so that colours and transitions appear even.
