Multiviewpoint Gigapixel

Multiviewpoint gigapixel describes a methodology in which a subject is captured not from a single fixed standpoint but from several deliberately chosen viewpoints, combined into one coherent gigapixel image.

Whereas classic stitching works from a single nodal point to avoid parallax error, this technique deliberately uses multiple perspectives — for example to reveal occluded areas or to depict extended scenes without perspective distortion.

Such works cannot be output as a single, continuous print object and are therefore not represented as motifs in the portal — the methodology was developed in our own work.
