The end-to-end processing of uncompressed camera RAW data – maximum latitude in exposure, colour and detail for high-quality large-format output.

A RAW workflow consistently uses the uncompressed raw data from the camera sensor instead of already processed JPEGs. RAW files contain the full tonal and colour range as well as all sensor data, before white balance, contrast and sharpening are fixed.

This offers substantial latitude: exposure and white balance can be corrected with little loss, highlights and shadows recovered further, and colour profiles assigned deliberately. For gigapixel images and large-format printing this is decisive, as every quality reserve becomes visible on the large output surface.
