White Balance
Category: Capture
White balance compensates for the colour temperature of the light so that neutral tones do not shift towards blue or yellow. Daylight, shade and artificial light have very different colour temperatures that, without correction, tint the entire image.
In the RAW workflow white balance can be adjusted afterwards without loss. For gigapixel images a uniform white balance across all frames is important so that the tiles match seamlessly in colour.
